Our Impact
We work on improving the lives of vulnerable girls and young women in Namibia through immediate support and creating positive opportunities for their future through training and education.
Lidar Community Foundation is a safe space in the heart of Katutura (Windhoek), Namibia, where young women and girls find hope, healing, and the tools to thrive.
We are a community-led, non-profit organisation supporting orphaned and vulnerable girls, teenage mothers, and young women from marginalised backgrounds. Whether it’s a skill learned or an immediate need looked at —each moment here is a step towards a brighter, self-empowered future for each of the girls.
What we do
1. We provide immediate care for vulnerable moms (food and shelter)
2. Provide long-term outcomes through a 6 week skills and education program for the moms

We Support
We are in search of opportunities to help and support our organisation so we can help those in need. The young women often need simple things like a safe house, toiletries or food. We also facilitate ongoing training and education which requires funding.
We Provide Care
Our girls and young women are often in very dire need of a safe bed and food. Young moms with no income stay vulnerable as there is no hope in their current circumstances. We offer moms and babies care and a safe haven with in conjunction with outcome based programmes.
We Educate
A very large portion of our efforts go into providing long-term goals and opportunities to our girls – education and training in skills like cooking and sewing give them hope and opportunity for future employment and a brighter future.
We Network
We use our network of contacts, businesses and support to provide job experience and opportunities for the girls to further improve their lives and future.
